Ayurveda for yoga teachers BELFAST – April 2020

Ayurveda is an ancient science that literally means the knowledge of life.

Join Keren for a 30 hour training at Maitri Studio in Belfast this Easter.

The beauty of Ayurveda is at its very core it gifts us with the ability to care for ourselves and ultimately heal ourselves. It is a science that works for every individual as it sees you as just that, an individual that is wholly unique and therefore any health issues are wholly unique to you.

Many of today’s healing modality came out of Ayurveda – herbalism, aromatherapy, massage therapy, nutrition, yoga as therapy, meditation, pranayama and so much more. It’s an in-depth and complex science but with some smart and grounded knowledge, it’s easy to incorporate Ayurveda into your life and home for a happier healthier you.

In this 30hr training, you will be introduced to the Ayurvedic principals of maintaining balance, understanding the doshas and how to recognise an imbalance, we will then look at how we can use this understanding to guide your approach to yoga, nutrition and diet, meditation and pranayama, cleansing practices and lifestyle choices.

You can expect our days together to be broken up into in-depth theory to give you a basic but grounded understanding of Ayurveda, the three doshas and the main principles of Ayurveda and then delving into how a physical practice can support balance inline with an Ayurvedic approach.

After this training you will be equipped with the tools to deliver yoga classes and workshops based around the seasonal shifts, dosha balancing and for women’s health.

You can expect to be challenged and have fun doing so! Here are a few testimonials from previous level 2 courses with Keren:

I loved the structure, parts of it were almost like group therapy – this was awesome – I think you can’t really deepen your teaching without deepening your understanding of yourself and what you find important. There were lots of elements to the course which was great – it meant that there was something to stretch everyone there. Maitha, Brisbane

I had high expectations because I’d so enjoyed your teaching while you were at Shri – so long ago now. Nothing every runs smoothly and when it does it’s because you’ve worked really hard to make that happen. I loved the content the presentation and the artefacts (manual and certificate) which means I get to take something to reinforce the content of the course. You also did a wonderful job of keeping us on task, pushing us out of our comfort zone but not over doing it. Jamie, Brisbane

Thank you for an awesome week of TT.  Good mix of philosophy, asana, learning and teaching. All sessions started and finished on time, all content was covered, one on one feedback was valuable too. It appeared to run seamlessly which I know (as a project manager) requires a lot of preparation. Loved it  Heather, Brisbane
